I know how often I've struggled with thinking that I'm "better than them." It shames me to think that I would ever consider myself above God or anyone else. Mahaney's book sounds excellent. One thing I've noticed with myself lately: when I start noticing pride in other people and being offended by their pride, it's a huge, big, red, warning sign, telling me that I have a *big* issue with pride myself. We think we are so talented and important, but as Paul says to the Corinthians: "what do you have that you did not recieve? And if you did recieve it, why do you boast as if you did not recieve it?
